Christmas 2009

This was the only picture we got where the boys were making half-way decent faces...=)
Me and my hubby!
The Twins! Just kidding...Aren't they handsome?
I would have to say that this weekend was by far the BEST weekend of the entire year! I don't recall Brent or I having a single dispute (which if you know us...we always find something to get loud about...he he). We spent many hours playing with the boys. Just us and the boys...no hockey, no school, no work...it was great! So, to let you know how it all went.
Christmas Eve!!!
On a cold winter Christmas Eve morning, I set off for work. Luckily we had just refilled the coolant so my morning drive was nice a warm. I get to work to doodle for a few hours before I head back home to get the family and head up to my WONDERFUL Grandpa & Grandma Parry's house. They invited us for Christmas Eve dinner. We got up there early to take the boys sledding around the yard. After about 20mins the boys and I were pooped! =) We went into to shower and change and get ready for dinner. Everyone was going to be there soon. After we were all ready my lovely Brother & Sister In-Law showed up just in time to take our family picture in front of the Grandparents house. I think the picture turned out nice. What you think?
After the pictures we went inside and everyone else showed up. We ate dinner, opened presents, the off to sing around the Christmas tree. What great fun!!! It's tradition in their family to hold hands and sing around the Christmas tree. Me and my boys just love it! Before we went home we got to talk to a very special someone. It was great. After that we rushed home to get the boys in bed so that we could put out the Christmas presents. Then off to bed.
Christmas DAY!!!
The boys got up around 7:30-8:00. Not too bad. They know they are not aloud to go into the living room (on Christmas) before us...so they patiently waited for us to get up.

patiently waiting to go into the living room

They were so cute waiting so patiently. Finally we got up and they ran into the living room to open and see all there wonderful gifts.

After opening all the presents we sat down and spent the majority of the morning playing Lego's with the boys. They LOVE Lego's. Thanks DAVID!!!
After building the Lego's we sat around and played other games and ate and ate and ate...and when we were full...we ate some more! It was Great!
Later that night we put the kiddos to bed and Brent & I snuggled on the couch with my new AWESOME blanket that Brent made me and watched a movie.

(picture coming soon...of the blanket..ha ha)
Day After Christmas!!!
Christmas night we found out that our beloved younger brother didn't receive or do anything for Christmas. This killed us inside. So we got up real early this morning, called the other brothers and went shopping. After our shopping we wrapped presents in the parking lot...LOTS OF PEOPLE LOOKING!!! We later all met up at his apartment, knocked on his door and wished him a Merry Christmas with lots of presents, candy, hugs and family! It was great and I know he loved it!!! Well....WE LOVE YOU!!!
(sorry..no pictures for this one)
*During this fun time with family we truly felt the meaning of Christmas and the joy of giving! It brought us great joy to bring happiness to someone else...it's even better...when they don't have a clue...HA HA!!!
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!!!

Hockey Boys!

So, I finally gave in and let Brent get the boys into hockey. They absolutely love it. Because they are beginners they are not the best but have gotten much better over the last 2 months. When the kiddos put on their gear they tranform into "MEN". They have their own little walk they do and everything. Tyler says, "this is how real hockey players walk". He's too funny! And the attitude they get, it's like WHO ARE YOU! One of these days I will capture it on video. Between Brenton and the boys we now enjoy the company of the ice Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Sometimes on Friday and Saturdays. It's great!

What's For Lunch!

I have spent the majority of the day rearranging my room and at around 10:30 this morning the boys come in to tell me they are hungry for lunch. They had just eaten breakfast an hour and a half ago so I couldn't understand why they were "starving" as they put it. So I told them to go eat an apple until lunch time. I was just too anxious to get my room done. After about 20 minutes the boys come back to my room with big smiles on their faces. "MOM....we made ourselves lunch...Come look" says Tyler. So, wondering what in the world they could have possibly gotten into I dropped what I was doing and ran to the kitchen. I was a little shocked at what was for lunch.

I will have to say though...atleast there was no mess to clean up...lol

Daddy came to visit!

Thanks to the blessing of my neice and the baptism of my other neice I got to see my dad. It was good to visit with him for the little bit that I got. During his visit we went out to Tooele to see my family and witness the blessing of my neice Brynlee and the baptism of my other neice Kacie. It was such a blessing to be there and witness those special moments with them and the rest of the family. We also got to go through the Draper open house. It was absolutely beautiful. Not that I thought it wouldn't be or anything. It was so nice to go through with "my" family. Even though it wasn't an actual "session", it was a great experience. My dad went home two days after the temple visit and I have missed him every day since. I hope he knows how much I love him....<3

The Suits

So, we decided to get the boys BIG BOY suits for church. They look so adorable. I think so anyways. They love wearing them. We got them a little big so that they can wear them for awhile. You know....longer than a month...=) They grow up so fast.
