I am thankful!!!

I have so many things this year to be thankful for. My wonderful job that I absolutely love going to everyday. Brenton starting his own plumbing company, Tyler starting kindergarten, moving out into our own place and so much more. I think it is wonderful to have a day set aside where all you can think about is how blessed you are for the things in your life. Throughout the year it is hard to always think of those things as trials and stuff fill your days with grief and sadness. If everyday was treated like Thanksgiving we would definitely be in a better place. But, I guess if we didn't have trials in our lives we wouldn't know what to be thankful for. So, I can honestly say that I am thankful for the trials in my life as it, I hope, has made me a better and stronger person. At least I hope others can see that in me.

For thanksgiving dinner this year I was so grateful to spend my day with my family and to have dinner with Brenton's Grandparents and his brother Jeron. I love having thanksgiving with Grandma & Grandpa Parry. They serve the "best" dinner and always have us going home STUFFED!!! After dinner we sat around the table and enjoyed a fun game of cards which I am so "thankful" to say that I, even though he won, got grandpa up 30 points in one round. YEAH!!! Someday I will beat him again.

Until next year....I hope we can all remember at the end of the day, each day, what we are thankful for.

Tyler's First "School" Picture

So, as I mentioned before, Tyler started kindegarten this year. They had their pictures taken and I wanted to post his picture to show you how big and cute he is. He is still loving school and is the only child I have ever known that LOVES to do homework. He loves to come home and "teach us" how to do it. He is such a smarty pants. I am so glad that we decided to put him in school this year. I was a little worried that he would still be too young as he just turned 5 at the end of July. He is one of the youngest in his class. But, I am glad I did not hold him back another year. He has already proven in the last 2 months that he is ready....=)

MOVING!!!

So, we are moving to Draper on Sept. 30th. We are excited because for the 1st time. We will have a garage to store ALL OUR JUNK!!! Yeah! The place we are renting is going to be cool. It was originally built for a person with disabilities so everything is wider. I love it. The counters are lower so that is -perfect- for me. Since I am extremely short. The best feature of all. The park is right off our back porch. So, I can sit and read while the kids play at the park. It's awesome! I will definitely take some pictures when we move in.

SOCCER TIME!!!

So how exciting, we signed the boys up to play soccer and Brenton signed up to volunteer to be coach. They called him back and YEAH!!!! he gets to be Tyler & Logan's soccer coach. Can you imagine how excited he is. Brenton grew up playing soccer with his dad being his coach. Now he gets to be coach to his sons. AWESOME!!! I will post pictures when it starts. Not for another 2 weeks.

Reunion Day 3

I started the day by getting ready to head to work. Even though my family was in town and I mentioned to my work that I was taking this day off. I still went in for a few hours because we had a staff meeting. Me being the Office Manager I felt I needed to be there.

Tanya

Once I got home Tanya and her family were there and we all went to wal-mart to get food and stuff for our day up American Fork Canyon. We were there for quite awhile. We ended up going to a fast food restaurant for lunch even though we packed food for the day. HA-HA. O'well. Once we were finished with lunch we headed up to the canyon. We went to a large lake where we all played, fished, hung out and swat away bees. They were especially attracted to me. I'm thinking it was from my tanning sun screen. That's the only conclusion I could come up with since I was being swarmed the most. Ha-Ha!. Well, as the day went on we started to get tired. After a few hours we packed up and head back to my house. My sister and I took the kids to the park to let me run their little selves tired and then we went back inside for Jeff was making dinner. He is an amazing cook by the way. We ate dinner and then everyone left. We sat around the rest of the night talking and laughing until it was time for bed. My dad was leaving early the next morning so I said my goodbyes that night. I told him to tap on my door in the morning and if I heard it I would get up to say goodbye again. Well, when 3am came around I heard this BANG BANG on my door. Yeah, NICE TAP Dad. Obviously I heard it. So, I got up and said my last goodbyes and they headed back to Minnesota. It was such a fun weekend. We were constantly doing something and I enjoyed every minute of it. Until next time.

Family Reunion Day 2

So, today we got up went out for breakfast (Sunday I know that's bad!!!) and then headed back to Tanya's. When we got there My Dad, Tanya and I went to Albertsons to get "tons" of food for a little family bbq we were going to put on later that night. When we got back Brenton was teaching all the kids how to play baseball. I was way surprised at how good the kids could hit. With a plastic ball and bat. It was amazing. One of my brothers son, Jared who is 7, could hit the farthest. He was really good. So the night went on and we ate and all sat around and talked. We really didn't do anything "exciting" but it was a lot of fun to sit around and talk with all my family. At about 10 we left to head back to my house for the night. On our way home we had to take a detour because there was a terrible accident in Cedar Fort. Don't think it's really my place to describe the accident on my blog so we will leave it at that.

Family Reunion Day 1

Last weekend was such a blast. It started when I got a voicemail from my oldest bro Jeff telling me that I need to give Dad a call. I was so worried. Great...what happened? So I call my dad and he just wants to know how I was doing and what I was doing for the weekend. I told him we were probably doing the usual. "NOTHING". So he said, "Good, because Jeff and I are going to come down there for a few days". I was SOOOOO excited. I haven't seen my dad in a little over a year. And I haven't seen my bro Jeff since Aug of 2005. This was awesome!!! So, they arrived around noon on Saturday. We met them at the JCW down the street from my apartment. My brother brought to of his kids. Audrey and Sky who I haven't seen since that last time I saw him. It was cool. Sky, who is now 10, is a bit taller than me. Pretty funny. Then there's Audrey who is 6 going on 13. I can't believe how much they have grown. So, anyways, we ate lunch went to my place to show them around and then headed of to my sister, Tanya, in Tooele. We spend hours contemplating what we were going to do the rest of the evening. We ended up going to a water park there in Tooele. It was fun and the kids all had a blast. But, then it started to thunderstorm so we packed up to head back to Tanya's. While getting in the car the lightning was getting really close. Once it struck right above my car. Brenton was standing outside the car and the thunder cracked so load we all jumped and Brenton hit the deck. It was really scary. On the drive back to Tanya's we saw lightning hit the field just north of us and the field started on fire. It was crazy. Once we got to Tanya's we hung out for a bit and then we left to head back to my house for the night. It was a fun day.

Tyler Birthday Party!!!

Well, it all started when we woke up to go shopping. YEAH!! We go to get drinks and stuff and I take off with Logan to pick up Tyler's birthday cake. When the lady brought it out...Logan thought it was "AWESOME". I told him that it was a secret and "not" to tell Tyler, for it was a surprise. So we headed off to pay. The cake was like $10 more than it was quoted and I just ended up paying for it because I didn't have time to chat about the price...=) I stopped by the customer service office to get some extra bags to cover the cake so Tyler wouldn't be able to see it. Then we go to find Tyler and Brenton. We finally spot them and head there way. Logan was so excited and yelled out. "TYLER you have to see your army cake...it's SO COOL". Well, it was "supposed" to be a surprise for him. THANKS BUD!!! So anyway, we pay for all the other stuff and then head to go get the pizza. We get that and head home to pack up the truck and head to the park. We set up the table cloths (army) and me and Gma Parry had to duck tape it to the table because it was so windy. Meanwhile Brenton & Gpa Parry are getting the jumping castles blown up. I was so excited. So, we were a park with some jumping castles. I thought for sure they would rather jump. Nope, I was wrong. Everyone ran straight to the park. O'well. It was still fun to have it set up. Made me feel cool. =) So, after everyone played and ate we cut the cake and Tyler opened all his birthday gifts. Since he was starting school in a month he got a TON of cloths. Thanks Gma Parry. He loves his new outfits! He got some toys and other stuff. He had a blast and I am sure everyone else did as well.

PICTURES COMING SOON!!!

Registration "K"

So, we registered Tyler for kindergarten. He is so excited to go to school. He doesn't start until Aug 26th. So to get him ready we had to go get his kindergarten shots. He had to get 5 total shots. OUCH!!! I felt so bad for him. He got 2 in his left leg, 2 in left arm and 1 in his right arm. Poor guy. We ended up getting Logan 1 shot in his left leg. Figure since we were already there might as well get him the shots he needed as well.
Anyways, so I can't believe that I have a kid going to school. It's crazy how fast time passes. Pretty soon he will be in Junior High. I am so SAD...=(

Well, I will definitely update on his first days.

The Big 5

So....Tyler is now 5. I am so sad. He is growing to fast. Anyways, I left work a little early so that Tyler didn't have to be at daycare the whole day on his birthday. We went to Toys R Us and let him pick out a toy. We originally wanted to get him a new bike. It is a bike that looks like a bike, and a dirt bike helmet. It was awesome. He rode it all over the store. Until we passed the isle with the hulk and Ben 10 toys. He changed his mind real quick. Since it being his birthday and his choice we ended up putting back the bike and getting him a large hulk figurine and a Ben 10 watch. He couldn't put them down. After that he wanted to go bowling. So we went to the bowling ally and played two games. It was a lot of fun. Of course we used bumpers. We all got scores over 100. The boys did better than Brenton. It was fun. Of course. I am the best. But, this is about Tyler not me. =)

Saturday we will be having a birthday party for Tyler so I will update on that and add some pictures.

Gone Fishing Part II

So, Brenton decided to take the boys on another fishing adventure. Determined to get the catch of the day. They set out on their journey up Provo Canyon. After hours of untangling little fishing lines and adding bait....yes the fish of the day was indeed caught. But not by mommy, not by Logan, not by "daddy". Yep, it was Tyler!!!. Sorry Brent. Better luck next time....=)

Gone Fishing!

So the other day we took the boys fishing up Provo Canyon. Brenton bought himself a nice fishing pole and he bought the boys some cheap (spiderman & transformers) poles. It was such a nice day and we could see fish jumping ALL OVER the place. The boys were pretty excited. Well, we were there for about 3 hours. Only one person caught a fish. It was our little Logan with his little $5 spiderman fishing pole. He is proud to say: "Who caught a fish?...Not daddy, Not mommy, Not Tyler... only Logan did"

OUCH!!!

So yesterday Brent and I went to the gym to get our work out on. OH YEAH!!! I was trying to adjust one of the machines and it just wasn't happening. I was getting frustrated and finally got it to work. But apparently the machine was getting frustrated with me, because instead of letting me adjust it, it adjusted itself and smashed my birdie finger. Cut the ball of my birdie finger real deep. I didn't mess with that machine after that. Just let the mean machine be.

Here Comes Logan Parry

WOW!!! Who knew I would be a mommy TIMES two. Well, 14 months later here he is!!!

Logan Ronald Parry ("Ronald" for Brenton, His Dad, His Grandpa..a little of them all) was born 6:51am at Timpanogos Hospital in Orem, UT. He was 7lbs and 20 inches. My boys like to keep it even. Ha-Ha. Let's see. I was so tired of being tired all the time. I had had enough of being prego. I called my doctor and said hey, we have got to get this baby OUT!!! So I went in at about 3pm and had my doctor strip my membraines. For those who don't know what that means. I am NOT going to explain (GOOGLE IT). at about 10pm I started to have light contractions. The light ones didn't phase me the first time so I went to sleep. I woke up at about 3am with some "real" intense ones. I thought for sure lil Mr. Logan was coming right now. So I woke up Brenton and said, Babe, we have got to go. We loaded up and headed to the hospital. It being so early in the morning no one was on the road. So we got there pretty quick.
Once again I was scared that I would not be dilated enough. I was in sooo much pain I would be sooo mad if they try to send me home. When we got to the hospital, they got me checked in and sure enough I was dilated to 8. They couldn't find my doctor and the anesticiaologist was taking for ever. I was scared that I wouldn't get the epidural in time. I was not about to have this baby without any drugs. NO THANK YOU!!! Well he finally got there and as he was giving me the epidural my water broke. That was the weirdest feeling. Well, after several pushes we welcomed our 2nd beautiful child.

The start of Tyler Parry

Who knew I would be a mother at the young age of 19. Well, I guess I did when I got married at 18 and my hubby and I decided to try for a baby 5 months later. =)

Tyler Norman Parry ("Norman" after my Daddy) was born July 28, 2003 at 9:45 pm at the Northridge Hospital in Northridge, CA. He was 8lbs and 20 inches long. This was by far the best day of my life since June 1, 2002 (the day I was married). My best friend had a baby about 2 years earlier and she had a very long and stressful labor. So, when I got up at 5am with light contractions, there was no way I was going to go to the hospital. So, I went back to sleep. I woke up at 7am and they were a "little" stronger. Brenton asked if I wanted him to stay home. I said no, you go to work, I will call you if they get worse. Well, they day went by SO SLOWLY!!! at about 4pm I called Brenton and told him, ok you can come home now. I think it is time. When he got home he said ok lets go. OMG did he stink (working as a plumber and all) I told him to hurry and take a shower. So he did. The contractions were "REALLY" intense now. My best friend got to my house right before we were about to leave "thank goodness". We loaded up and set off for the hospital. I swear we hit every bump possible. It was the worse car ride ever! We got to the hospital at 5:45pm. I was so scared that I wasn't dilated enough and they would send me home. When they got me checked in, yeah, I was dilated to "6". I was staying. Tyler was born just 4 hours later. He cried and cried until his daddy went and held his hand. It was beautiful.

How it "ALL" began

Collin Raye couldn't have said it better:

One boy, one girl, two hearts beating wildly
To put it mildly it was love at first sight
He smiled, she smiled, and they knew right away
This was the day they'd waited for all their lives
And for a moment the whole world revolved
Around one boy and one girl

then:

In no time at all they were standing there
In the front of a little church
In front of their friends and family
Repeating those sacred words
Bishop said, "kiss your bride"
and he raised her veil
Like the night they met time just stood still.

(some lyrics changed...no offense to Collin Raye)

Well...that is pretty much how it happened. I am so blessed to have Brenton in my life. He has definately made me the person I am today. A wonderful wife and an awesome mother!!! (well, that is what I am trying to be)
